The Server position at Lyric falls within the Food & Beverage Department, operating at the signature restaurant and bar areas, including outdoor patios. This is a full-time role offering a competitive pay rate of $12.14 per hour plus tips, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in customer-centric environments and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Servers play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of hospitality that Lyric is known for by ensuring guests receive prompt, attentive, and friendly service.

As a Server at Lyric at RidgeGate, you will be the face of the dining experience, responsible for greeting and serving guests in a warm and energetic manner. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of the resort facility and its dining offerings to provide guests with accurate information and enthusiastic recommendations. This role requires collaboration with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are relayed correctly and delivered promptly while adhering to established dining standards and service etiquette.

The position demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Servers must be attentive to guest needs throughout the meal, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction. Handling cash and card payments accurately, checking guests' identification for alcohol purchases, reporting safety concerns, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining areas are integral responsibilities of the role.

The work environment is primarily indoors but may extend outdoors on patios or event spaces, exposing employees to variable weather conditions and natural surroundings. Physical demands include standing, walking, carrying trays, and bending, requiring stamina and attention to detail to navigate a busy and lively atmosphere successfully.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to three months related server experience preferred
  • Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures)
  • Ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • must be able to calculate discounts and percentages
  • Ability to contribute to a productive and friendly work environment by maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums
  • Ability to speak effectively and present information to another person and in small group situations with guests and team members
  • Must be able to pay attention to details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by having a working knowledge of the resort facility and dining area, and be able to respond to guest questions about the menu and speak with enthusiasm about other resort services
  • Write orders
  • relay food orders to the kitchen and beverage orders to the bartender
  • Serve food and beverages and clear tables following service etiquette and facility procedures
  • Connect with guests at assigned tables throughout the dining experience to assure all guest needs are met and excellent service is provided
  • Work as team, following direction from the Lead Server or Food & Beverage Manager
  • Notice and report potential safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor
  • Check identification to assure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Handle cash and card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
