The establishment caters to a sophisticated clientele seeking not only exquisite cuisine but also impeccable service, making every dining visit memorable. The team at Eddie Merlot's is dedicated to maintaining high standards of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction, aligning with the company’s mission to provide an extraordinary dining occasion.
The Server role at Eddie Merlot's is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience. Servers must possess an extensive understanding of the menu and beverage options to effectively answer guest inquiries, take accurate orders, and communicate these orders efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff. The role demands a balance of interpersonal skills and operational efficiency, as Servers not only present food and beverages according to established procedures but also handle guest check presentations and payment processing with accuracy and professionalism.
Servers at Eddie Merlot's maintain their workstations in a clean and orderly fashion and collaborate closely with fellow team members such as Bartenders, Bussers, and Runners to uphold the highest standards of hospitality. The position requires completion and consistent updating of training modules to stay current with the brand’s service standards and menu changes. Servers are expected to understand shift schedules, arrive punctually, and adhere to uniform and appearance guidelines, reflecting the restaurant’s polished image.
Key responsibilities involve preparing dining areas by ensuring tables are properly set and configurations are suited to reservations or guest flow, greeting guests promptly, and engaging them to establish a welcoming atmosphere. Servers also guide guests through the menu and beverage selections, suggest specials, and encourage sales through effective up-selling techniques. Throughout the meal, they monitor guest satisfaction, promptly address any concerns, perform pre-bussing and table maintenance, and offer additional items such as desserts and beverages.
At the conclusion of the dining experience, Servers audit and present guest checks, accurately process payments, and handle tip-reporting processes. They thank guests warmly, encouraging repeat visits while adhering to all Eddie Merlot's policies on food handling, sanitation, safety, and liquor laws. The role may also extend to supporting large parties, special events, and banquet services, requiring flexibility and teamwork. Servers contribute to a positive work environment by assisting colleagues and promoting membership in the Eddie Merlot’s Platinum Club. Overall, the Server role is essential in creating the luxurious, attentive, and guest-focused dining experience that defines Eddie Merlot’s brand.
