The Emerald Valley Ranch Dinner Server position offers an exciting opportunity within The Broadmoor’s distinguished dining team. This role is integral in maintaining the resort’s reputation for outstanding guest service by delivering attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized dining experiences. As a Dinner Server at Emerald Valley Ranch, you will be responsible for engaging with guests, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring seamless food and beverage service. This includes answering questions about menu items, accommodating guests’ dietary restrictions and allergies, and providing accurate communication with the kitchen and bar teams. You will also have bartending responsibilities, such as mixing drinks and serving a variety of wines, beers, and cocktails, demonstrating a strong understanding of alcohol service aligned with Colorado’s liquor laws.

This position requires a high level of enthusiasm, friendliness, and teamwork, as you will work closely with other dining staff and resort team members. Duties include setting up and cleaning tables, managing orders, observing and responding to guest needs, and upholding all Broadmoor policies and safety standards, including those specific to the Ranch operation. With a pay rate of $19.50 per hour, this role offers competitive compensation reflective of the skills and dedication required.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • At least one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fine dining experience required
  • Knowledge of alcohol service and laws is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience working with touch screen, Point of Sale systems
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Fine dining experience required
  • Knowledge of alcohol service and laws is required
  • Knowledge of AAA and Forbes dining standards preferred
  • Experience working with touch screen, Point of Sale systems
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Perform table set up, replenish and clean up before, during and/or after the guest's meal and replenish snacks, and stock bar as necessary
  • Answer menu questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage service
  • Act as bartender and mix ingredients to prepare beverages to guest satisfaction
  • Serve and is familiar with a variety of wines, beers and cocktails
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of guest(s) diet restrictions and food allergies
  • Maintain accurate communication with kitchen staff regarding orders, times, guest needs, etc. to provide efficient service
  • Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • Buss and carry used tableware to kitchen area
  • Handle opening and closing procedures as directed and complete daily and weekly side-work
  • Follow Ranch safety and hygiene standards
  • Follow all directions received from General Manager
  • Report tips as required by the IRS
  • Abide by and maintain up to date knowledge of Colorado liquor laws
  • Assist other dining room staff and all other staff as needed
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
