Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior serving experience is preferred
- must be age 19 or older
- must complete ServSafe program
- basic restaurant operation knowledge preferred
- excellent oral communication and customer service skills
- ability to read and/or understand labels
- knowledge of workplace safety procedures

- ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public

Job Duties
- Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks
- greets all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
- stays updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of items
- provides excellent customer service including suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks
- maintains proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering deserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- prepares non-alcohol drinks for service to customer table
- obtains payment for meals and adheres to all cash handling procedures
- performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- assists with special events as needed
- provide guidance to guests on Cleveland Metroparks activities and other regional information
- keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns
- carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public
- responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel
- performs related duties as assigned or apparent
