The role of Server (Dining Room Care Manager) at Sunrise Senior Living is integral to maintaining a positive dining experience for residents. This position involves providing comprehensive dining and table service in the community’s dining rooms and other designated areas, all while upholding the high standards that Sunrise is known for. Key responsibilities include maintaining the dining room setup, supporting special events, monitoring cleanliness and readiness checklists, and assisting with tabletop inventories. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain ServeSafe certification
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to the residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions about menu items
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to established guidelines
- Respond to the dining needs of residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards
- Attend pre-meal briefing to gain knowledge of the meal and support activities
