This particular opportunity is for the part-time position of Server, offering a starting wage between $15.00 and $22.00 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The shift schedule includes afternoon hours Monday through Sunday and a Friday morning shift, providing some flexibility. As a Server at The Cambridge Senior Living, you will play an essential role in the dining experience of residents. You will not only serve meals but also contribute significantly to the residents’ quality of life by being a friendly and welcoming presence in the dining area.

The ideal candidate is energetic, caring, and attentive to residents' needs. Responsibilities include greeting residents, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area, and monitoring and reporting any changes in residents’ dietary habits or health conditions to supervisors and wellness staff. This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, and the ability to assist residents in mobility when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of sixteen years
  • English communication skills at eighth-grade proficiency or higher
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to assist residents with mobility needs
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Positive and energetic demeanor
  • Ability to work part-time shifts as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least sixteen years old
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an eighth-grade level
  • Positive and energetic attitude with a passion for working with seniors
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
  • Capability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and post-fall support
  • Criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining area
  • Be present and engage with residents to foster connections
  • Prepare dining tables and meals including salads and silverware
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables and sweeping floors
  • Communicate with supervisors and wellness staff about residents' dietary habits or unusual changes
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
  • Provide an inviting and supportive atmosphere during meal service
