The role currently available at Summit Senior Living is a part-time Server position with a competitive pay range of $13 to $19 per hour. This position plays a vital role in enriching the dining experience of the residents, ensuring they feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for during meals. The Server will work Monday and Sunday shifts from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm and is expected to be actively engaged in creating a positive dining atmosphere. Responsibilities include greeting residents, preparing dining areas, assisting with meal service, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold the quality standards of the community. The Server also serves as an important link between the residents and the wellness team by monitoring residents' appetite and dietary habits and reporting any concerns. This multifaceted position requires a candidate who is upbeat, attentive, and dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors. Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen 16 years of age
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
- Have a positive and energetic attitude
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking and assist persons after a fall
- Must be criminally cleared
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an 8th grade proficiency level
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with residents
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Previous experience in food service or senior living is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome
- Prepare dining tables, salads, and roll silverware in preparation for meal service
- Bus tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Observe residents' appetite and dietary habits and communicate any concerns to supervisors and wellness staff
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking when needed
- Provide a friendly and engaging dining atmosphere
- Report resident absences from meals and unusual dietary changes
