Job Description

Sierra Place Senior Living is a respected community within the Cascade Living Group, dedicated to providing exceptional care and a nurturing environment for seniors in the region. As part of Cascade Living Group, Sierra Place is committed to fostering a culture of wellness and purposeful living for both its residents and employees. The community emphasizes quality of life, ensuring that every senior receives tailored support and attention. Known for its compassionate approach to senior care, Sierra Place offers a welcoming atmosphere where residents and their families feel valued and at home. Its mission is encapsulated in the motto, "The Difference Between Living and Living Well," which reflects its dedication to enhancing daily life through personalized services and a supportive environment.

The role of Server (Dining Services Associate) at Sierra Place Senior Living is integral to the community's mission of providing exceptional care to its residents. This position is uniquely rewarding as it combines the core aspects of dining service with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with seniors. Unlike typical hospitality roles that focus primarily on service efficiency, this role emphasizes compassionate interaction and personalized service tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of elderly residents. The Server supports the dietary needs of residents by collaborating with dining room managers to develop appropriate meal plans and ensure that nutrition and safety standards are met. This includes being knowledgeable about the ingredients and flavors of menu items, ensuring meals are both enjoyable and safe for residents.

Employees in this position are expected to demonstrate an ownership attitude and strong customer service skills while managing tasks efficiently despite occasional interruptions. The role demands reliability and punctuality, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the dining schedules of residents. Servers actively contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining and kitchen areas, enhancing the overall dining experience. Certified in first aid and food safety (such as having current food handler's or serve safe certification), Servers are crucial in safeguarding resident health during meal service.

This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.00 to $16.00 depending on experience, with scheduled shifts primarily three days per week including weekend availability. Beyond compensation, employees benefit from a supportive work environment with access to health insurance (for eligible employees), career development opportunities, voluntary benefits including disability and life insurance, 401k plans with company match, paid time off, and other employee perks. Serving at Sierra Place is more than a job; it is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of seniors in a caring and respectful setting, making it an ideal position for individuals passionate about senior care and excellent service.
