Job Description
Cascade Living Group is a distinguished provider of senior living and care services, dedicated to creating a culture of wellness and purposeful living for residents and employees alike. Known for their commitment to quality of life, Cascade Living operates several communities, including Parkland Village, an assisted living community that serves residents and their families from across the region. Their mission focuses on enhancing the experience of living, emphasizing the difference between merely living and living well. Parkland Village offers a supportive and caring environment tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors, combining compassionate care with opportunities for social engagement and personal growth. The organization prides itself on fostering a vibrant community where residents feel valued, respected, and truly at home. With a company ethos centered on dignity, respect, and support, Cascade Living Group strives to ensure an exceptional standard of care and service in all their communities.
The role of a Server (Dining Services Associate) at Parkland Village is a vital position within the dining services team, focused on providing a safe, comfortable, and pleasant dining experience for senior residents. Unlike typical hospitality serving roles in restaurants or resorts, this position offers the special opportunity to build meaningful and lifelong relationships with the residents by serving nutritious meals that contribute to their health and well-being. Servers work closely with the dining room manager to accommodate dietary needs and help develop appropriate dietary plans for each resident. This role requires a combination of compassion, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, their families, and the caregiving staff.
Servers at Parkland Village are expected to prepare the dining room for meals, deliver food and service trays, and ensure that every dining experience meets the high standards of the community. They utilize proper tasting techniques to verify meal quality, display strong organizational and time management skills, and maintain cleanliness in dining areas and kitchens. The position also demands flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the community needs effectively. Cascade Living Group values employees who demonstrate ownership, reliability, and the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, sometimes interrupt-driven environment.
Offering a wage of $15.55 to $17.55 per hour depending on experience, the position is part-time with various shift opportunities including weekend availability. Beyond competitive wages, employees benefit from a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance eligibility, voluntary benefits such as disability and life insurance, flexible pet insurance, a 401k retirement plan with company match, payroll advances on earned wages, paid time off, education assistance, and longevity bonuses. Working at Parkland Village is more than a job; it is a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by fostering a supportive, respectful, and encouraging living environment consistent with Cascade Living's mission and values.
