Job Description

Amira Choice of Plymouth is a premier senior living community located in the Northwest suburb of Plymouth, Minnesota. Established in 2018, this community is designed to provide comfortable and compassionate care across multiple levels including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and specialized Care Suites. With a total of 94 residential units, Amira Choice of Plymouth prides itself on creating an environment that fosters longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives for its senior residents. The community is part of a larger network committed to healing, discovering, and educating to improve the wellbeing of the elderly population they serve. The location at the intersection of Old Rockford Road and Highway 55 makes it a convenient and accessible residence for families and residents in the region.

This role is for a Server/Culinary Assistant who will join the nutrition services team at Amira Choice of Plymouth. The selected individual will play a key role in supporting the dining experience for senior residents, ensuring meals are served with care and that kitchenettes within the Assisted Living community are well-stocked and maintained. This is a part-time position, offering approximately 32 hours over two weeks, with shifts during the day and early evening. The schedule also includes working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations, which are typical in senior care environments to maintain continuity of service.

The Server/Culinary Assistant will be responsible for delivering excellent meal service to senior residents while addressing their dietary needs and preferences. The role requires adherence to safety and sanitation standards, following meal serving schedules, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining space. Proficiency with the EMenu System and a restaurant-style service approach is expected, highlighting the importance of both efficiency and quality in serving the resident population. Additionally, the Server/Culinary Assistant will foster positive relationships with residents by welcoming them, accommodating special requests, and effectively handling any complaints or concerns.

Ebenezer, the organization behind Amira Choice of Plymouth, offers a competitive pay range for this role ($18.12 to $26.17 per hour), reflecting the candidate's skills, experience, and market conditions. Beyond compensation, employees benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, sick and safe time, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans, and even early access to earned wages. This highlights the commitment of the employer not only to the residents but also to the wellbeing and growth of its staff. The organization also emphasizes pay equity and internal team equity in its compensation decisions, ensuring fairness across the board.
