The role we are hiring for is that of a Server, a vital position within our restaurant staff. As a server, you will act as the face of the restaurant, responsible for interacting directly with guests to ensure their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Your duties will include promptly greeting guests upon arrival at their tables, offering the food menu, and informing them of special drink offerings. You will take food and drink orders accurately, communicating them efficiently to the kitchen or bartender for timely preparation and delivery.

Beyond taking orders, this position requires consistent attention to guests throughout their visit, including checking in periodically to fulfill additional needs and offering dessert options to enhance their meal. You will also manage the presentation and delivery of the check, handling payments and returning any change with professionalism and courtesy. Maintaining cleanliness is a key part of the role, involving the removal of dirty dishes and linens as necessary, as well as resetting tables with appropriate china, linen, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and paper products.

It is essential for the Server to have a basic understanding of the menu pricing and composition to address guest inquiries confidently. Familiarity with daily specials is also necessary to provide guests with relevant recommendations. Part of your responsibility includes monitoring snacks available at tables and keeping them replenished as needed. Additionally, completing side work duties like emptying, cleaning, and refilling items keeps the service area organized and efficient.

Our servers are held to high standards of personal presentation. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal hygiene is expected to project a positive image of our brand. Safety is a priority for all employees. We require certification in Serving Alcohol with Care or an equivalent program and expect all staff members to successfully complete mandated training programs, including OSHA safety requirements. Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures is critical to ensure a secure environment for both guests and staff.

This role demands flexibility and adaptability due to the dynamic nature of the restaurant environment. Employees must be prepared to embrace changes that may affect their daily tasks and responsibilities. Respect and dignity are core values within our team. Job Requirements

  • Certification in Serving Alcohol with Care or similar program
  • Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to job changes

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds

  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Promptly greet guests at tables, offer food menu, and inform them of the drink specials
  • Obtain the order and give to the kitchen for food preparation or bartender to mix drink, deliver order
  • Return to table periodically to make sure all needs are met, offer dessert
  • Present the check, when payment is offered return change and receipt to guest
  • Remove dirty dishes and linen as needed
  • Reset tables with clean china, linen, silver, glassware, utensils, condiments, and paper
  • Monitor snacks at tables and empty, clean and refill items as side work duties describe
