Job Description
IHOP is a globally recognized restaurant brand known primarily for its delicious breakfast offerings, especially its signature pancakes. As a full-service casual dining chain, IHOP provides a warm and friendly environment where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere. With a commitment to quality food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming ambiance, IHOP has become a favorite destination for individuals and families seeking a dining experience that combines comfort and taste. Founded over six decades ago, IHOP has grown its reach with numerous locations across the United States and beyond, making it a leader in the casual breakfast industry. The company emphasizes a culture grounded in teamwork, respect, and continuous learning, providing ample opportunities for career advancement within its vibrant restaurant network.
Joining IHOP as a Server means becoming an integral part of the guest experience and acting as the face of the brand. Servers at IHOP are responsible for creating meaningful connections with every guest by delivering warm, attentive, and efficient service that encourages repeat visits. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and communication play key roles in success. Servers at IHOP take pride in their work and understand that every interaction with guests matters significantly, from the moment guests are welcomed to the time they leave the restaurant.
This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their careers in the restaurant industry. Servers are expected to welcome guests with a smile, take accurate orders using point-of-sale systems, and promptly deliver food and beverage items while maintaining excellent service standards. They anticipate guest needs and resolve issues quickly while ensuring clean and organized service areas. Team collaboration is essential to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a satisfying guest experience. Physical stamina is required as servers stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays, and lift moderate weights as needed.
The Server role at IHOP offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $12.14 to $17.25, depending on the state and prior experience, plus tips paid daily. IHOP guarantees employees earn at least the state minimum wage, making it a stable opportunity for those seeking part-time or full-time work. The company fosters a fun and rewarding work environment where employees engage with customers regularly and build lasting relationships. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, reflecting the restaurant's operations schedule.
IHOP also offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match after one year and 1000 hours worked, paid time off based on tenure and hours worked, and access to voluntary benefits such as supplemental coverage. Additionally, employees can benefit from an Employee Assistance Program and state-mandated benefits including paid sick leave where applicable. Working at IHOP not only provides a chance to earn and grow but also to be part of a family that values hospitality, team spirit, and community engagement. Join IHOP and be part of a brand that is much more than breakfast—it's a place for memories and career growth, where every pancake served spreads happiness.
