Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC (CEC) is a nationally recognized leader in the family dining and entertainment industry, headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates three iconic brands: Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and more than 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has established itself as a prominent name in creating fun-filled environments that cater to families and kids, delivering not only food but joy and memorable experiences. Chuck E. Cheese is famous for hosting over half a million birthday parties annually, making it a beloved destination for children and families looking for engaging entertainment and quality dining. The company is deeply committed to community support and safety, implementing innovative programs like Kid Check® and generously donating more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In recognition of its leadership and employee well-being, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces in 2025. Peter Piper Pizza, meanwhile, offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience that emphasizes quality food and entertainment, endorsing the motto "The Fun is Baked In!" Both brands promote play and physical wellness for children through various attractions that help develop motor skills and foster social connections. At CEC, diversity and inclusion are core values, reflected in the company’s workforce and culture, which celebrates fun, safety, and community engagement.
This particular role focuses on joining Chuck E. Cheese as a Server, a key position within the company's frontline team. Servers are the heart of the dining experience, ensuring guests receive prompt and enthusiastic service by delivering food and interacting positively with patrons. The position offers the exciting benefit of the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages without waiting for the normal payroll cycle, enhancing financial flexibility. Compensation for servers ranges from $17.13 to $18.13 per hour. Additionally, there is a commission system in place, allowing employees to earn extra based on memberships and Fun Pass sales, with commission amounts varying between exempt and non-exempt employees. This role is ideal for first-time job seekers or individuals looking to build a career in hospitality and entertainment, as CEC emphasizes internal promotion, with over 60% of managers rising through ranks from within. The job requires energetic and enthusiastic personalities, excellent customer service skills, and the physical capability to perform essential tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods during shifts.
The working environment is vibrant yet demanding, with the presence of flashing lights, loud noises, and moving mechanical parts typical of an amusement setting. However, stringent health and sanitation standards are maintained to ensure the safety and well-being of both employees and guests. CEC Entertainment provides comprehensive benefits tailored to employees based on their role and full-time or part-time status. These include medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental insurance, paid time off, employee meal discounts, 401(k) retirement savings plans with company matching, and multiple voluntary benefits such as accident insurance, critical illness coverage, employee assistance programs, and more.
The company is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and prohibits discrimination of any kind based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected status. Joining the team at Chuck E. Cheese means becoming part of a fun, supportive, and growth-oriented environment dedicated to creating lasting memories for families and fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace for employees.
