The company is dedicated to creating joyful, lasting memories for families through a unique blend of food, fun, and play. Chuck E. Cheese alone celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, emphasizing the brand's commitment to being "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®." Beyond entertainment, CEC places a strong focus on safety, implementing programs like Kid Check® and contributing more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. The company also embraces diversity and inclusion, fostering a culture that celebrates varied backgrounds and perspectives, making it an employer of choice recognized as one of America's Greatest Workplaces. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award, underscoring its innovation leadership and dedication to employee well-being.
The role of Server at Chuck E. Cheese provides an excellent opportunity for those entering the workforce, as well as individuals seeking to advance their careers within the company. Servers play a critical role in delivering exceptional service by ensuring guests receive their food with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor. This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $15.92 to $16.92, along with attractive commission potentials that vary depending on exempt or non-exempt status. Exempt servers have the chance to earn commissions from $0.50 to $10.00 for each membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 for each Fun Pass sold, while non-exempt employees can earn between $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass. These commissions are paid bi-weekly, enabling employees to benefit from the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, which allows them to receive payment quickly after their work shifts.
As a server, individuals will be cross-trained in various positions, empowering them with diverse skills and paving the way for advancement, as over 60% of the company’s managers were promoted from within. Servers are expected to maintain excellent customer service skills, exhibit an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and be able to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods during shifts. The work environment is dynamic and includes exposure to flashing lights, mechanical parts, and loud noises, requiring employees to manage stress effectively while interaction with guests and team members remains a priority.
Employees enjoy flexible schedules and a range of benefits that support both their professional and personal lives. These include a 50% discount on meals during shifts, scholarship programs, perks and discounts, an employee referral program, and the CEC Cares Fund which assists employees during unforeseen catastrophes. Furthermore, CEC Entertainment provides comprehensive benefits for eligible employees such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. With a strong commitment to health and sanitation, Chuck E. Cheese ensures all operational procedures meet or exceed local regulations to safeguard the wellness of both guests and staff.
This role is ideal for candidates at least 15 years old who are available for various shifts and eager to develop customer service skills in a supportive, fun-filled environment. CEC Entertainment values diversity and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, actively fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive.
