Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC (CEC) is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment focuses on creating joyful, lasting memories through fun, food, and play. The brand celebrates over half a million birthdays annually and is dedicated to providing a safe and engaging environment for kids and families. Recognized for its commitment to community support, CEC has donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was honored with the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, reinforcing its industry leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
CEC is more than just a dining destination; it’s a place where a kid can be a kid. The company is committed to safety through initiatives like Kid Check and fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and fun. Their venues offer engaging entertainment and quality food, emphasizing family bonding and physical wellness. Peter Piper Pizza complements this mission by providing a neighborhood pizzeria experience where "The Fun is Baked In." Both brands champion play through different attractions designed to strengthen motor skills and support children's development.
The role of Server at Chuck E. Cheese offers an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or those looking to build an exciting career. Servers play a vital role in delivering great service by providing food to guests with enthusiasm and efficiency. This position embodies the company's customer-first philosophy and is ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy interacting with others. The servers are cross-trained in various positions, empowering them with versatile skills and broad experience. In fact, over 60% of the company’s managers have been promoted from within, illustrating significant growth potential.
The compensation for servers ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, supplemented by commission opportunities based on Membership and Fun Pass sales, which are paid bi-weekly unless state law requires otherwise. The company participates in the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, ensuring employees do not have to wait long for their earnings. Benefits include competitive pay, flexible scheduling, a 50% meal discount during shifts, scholarships, perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and a special CEC Cares Fund designed to assist employees in times of hardship.
Essential physical requirements include the ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat during shifts. Employees must also be able to handle job-related stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers in a dynamic environment, which may include flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Reasonable accommodations can be made to assist individuals with disabilities.
CEC Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values workforce diversity, ensuring fair treatment irrespective of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected statuses. This commitment underscores the inclusive culture that supports every employee’s growth and well-being in a fun, family-focused workplace.
