Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands, with nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. Known for its commitment to creating joyful and lasting memories, CEC Entertainment hosts over half a million birthdays annually under the Chuck E. Cheese brand alone. Their mission centers around providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children and families can eat and play together, truly making Chuck E. Cheese the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid".
The company fosters a culture of inclusion, diversity, and employee well-being, which is reflected in its numerous awards such as the "Best in STEM" and recognition among America’s Greatest Workplaces. CEC Entertainment is dedicated to community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits, and implements safety programs like Kid Check® to protect guests. Their neighborhood pizzeria brand, Peter Piper Pizza, offers quality food and engaging entertainment, emphasizing that "The Fun is Baked In". These brands champion play and physical wellness, supporting motor skill development in children through their attractions.
The current opening is for a Server position at Chuck E. Cheese, an ideal role for first-time job seekers or those looking to build an exciting career in the family entertainment industry. Servers are empowered to provide exceptional service by delivering food to guests in a lively and entertaining atmosphere. The position offers a unique commission structure depending on employment status—Exempt employees can earn commission from $0.50 to $10.00 per Membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold, while Non-Exempt employees have commission potential ranging from $2.00 to $8.00 per Membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass. These commissions are paid bi-weekly unless state law requires otherwise, supporting financial motivation and rewarding performance.
Additionally, the job features the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, which allows employees to receive pay without waiting for the usual paycheck cycle. Chuck E. Cheese values flexibility, offering flexible schedules to accommodate varied employee needs and lifestyles. Employees enjoy perks such as a 50% discount on meals during shifts, scholarships, referral programs, and inclusion in the CEC Cares Fund, which assists employees during catastrophes. This role requires a dynamic, enthusiastic personality with excellent customer service skills suited to an environment filled with flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. The physical demands include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and being active during shifts by standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and walking.
By joining CEC Entertainment as a Server, employees become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable experiences for families, growing professionally in a supportive environment where more than 60% of managers have been promoted from within. The company is committed to health and safety, adhering to rigorous sanitation standards and offering reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, CEC Entertainment embraces all backgrounds and perspectives, ensuring a welcoming and equitable workplace for every team member.
