Job Duties
- Provide guests with food and beverage service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the restaurant area
- answer questions about menu items
- promptly take and serve food and beverage orders
- enter orders into the point of sale system
- enter discounts
- deliver check to the cashier for processing and return change or receipt following established procedures
- promote guest relations by responding to guest requests in a timely manner
- offer appropriate up-to-date information regarding promotions, contests and giveaways
- treat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- ensure responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by asking for proper identification from guests who appear to be under the age of 30
- monitor alcohol consumption
- ensure guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures
- stop alcohol service at the designated time
- clear the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified
- maintain safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces, picking up used plates, cups, condiments and utensils
- dispose of all trash
- ensure restaurant stations are stocked and clean by submitting supply requisitions
- place delivered water, food and supplies in designated areas
- replenish condiments in the server stations
- polish silverware
- fold napkins
- clean shelves, condiment holders, tables and counters according to established procedures
