The Server role at Atlas Restaurant Group is a pivotal position designed to ensure every guest enjoys an uncompromising and exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure. Serving as the primary point of contact for guests, Servers provide knowledgeable and courteous service, efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively within a team to maintain a clean and organized service area. Compensation includes hourly pay plus tips, varying by state, with Maryland servers earning $3.63 per hour plus tips and Florida servers earning up to $9.98 per hour plus tips.

Servers at Atlas Restaurant Group do not have supervisory responsibilities but are fundamental in creating a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with the company’s values. They are responsible for answering menu inquiries, taking accurate orders, managing cash and card transactions, and making tailored recommendations based on guest preferences. Job Requirements

Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Able to work in a team serving environment
May require a food handler's certification, depending on local regulations
Must have a valid form of identification
Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Must have the knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips
Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) and Restaurant365 systems
Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment using experience and an outside-the-box mindset
Must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies
Must be able to stand, walk, reach, handle, manipulate, talk, hear, taste, and smell
Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Must occasionally sit, climb stairs, or maintain balance
Must have close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plus
Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
Basic knowledge of English
Ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
Able to effectively answer questions and speak before groups

Job Duties

Answer questions about the menu, sell restaurant’s food and drinks, and communicate orders with the kitchen
Stay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experience
Possess strong food and beverage knowledge
Keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guest
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
