Job Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • May require a food handler's certification, depending on local regulations
  • Must have a valid form of identification
  • Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must have the knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) and Restaurant365 systems
  • Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment using experience and an outside-the-box mindset
  • Must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, handle, manipulate, talk, hear, taste, and smell
  • Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must occasionally sit, climb stairs, or maintain balance
  • Must have close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plus
  • Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
  • Able to effectively answer questions and speak before groups

Job Duties

  • Answer questions about the menu, sell restaurant’s food and drinks, and communicate orders with the kitchen
  • Stay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experience
  • Possess strong food and beverage knowledge
  • Keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guest
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
