The Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center in College Station, Texas, is a flagship property proudly managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality. This part-time Server role at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center offers an exciting opportunity to engage directly with guests in a restaurant setting. The Server is responsible for providing excellent table service, including taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Compensation includes a base hourly wage of $3.60 plus tips, with biweekly payments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
  • working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and food served at the property
  • competent in suggesting pairings of food to wine or beer
  • ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • previous experience as a server preferred (2+ years)
  • must obtain Texas food handling certification and TABC certification
  • capable of prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
  • familiar with all property amenities and other outlets in the hotel

  • must obtain Texas food handling certification and TABC certification
  • familiar with all property amenities and other outlets in the hotel

Job Duties

  • Greets guests as they are seated at the table
  • ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
  • distributes menus and presents the daily specials
  • answers questions regarding the menu
  • takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen
  • delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests
  • ensures that food is prepared correctly and to guests' satisfaction
  • returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
  • collects plates and clears the table as guests finish their meals
  • prepares guests' checks and collects payments
  • assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • performs other related duties as assigned
