The Bourbon Orleans Hotel, a historic New Orleans landmark once serving as a high-society ballroom and convent, offers a unique setting imbued with Belle Epoque elegance, polished marble interiors, and warm Louisiana hospitality. We are currently seeking dedicated full-time or part-time Beverage Servers to join our team. As a Beverage Server at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, you are more than just a server; you are an essential part of each guest’s memorable experience. Your role involves delivering impeccable service with personality and professionalism, ensuring every drink—from cocktails and craft brews to mocktails—is served flawlessly. You will utilize your excellent communication skills and multitasking abilities to maintain smooth operations while engaging warmly with guests, creating an inviting atmosphere where every patron feels like a VIP.
Your responsibilities will encompass becoming a guest experience guru by greeting and engaging with guests to foster memorable dining experiences. You will master the menu, guiding guests with comprehensive knowledge of ingredients, dietary accommodations, daily specials, and alcohol service guidelines. Accuracy in order delivery and payment handling is paramount, alongside maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the service area. Physical stamina will be essential as you stay energized on your feet throughout shifts, ensuring continuous excellent service.
The position is ideal for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, possessing prior hospitality or food and beverage service experience, and keen interpersonal skills. Certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler's Card, aligned with state regulations, are required. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must obtain and maintain required certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler’s Card as per state regulations
- Ability to work full-time or part-time hours including evenings and weekends
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and move during shifts
- Adherence to company policies and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
