The Server - Beer and Wine position at Cinemark is an essential role designed to elevate the guest experience by providing exceptional food and beverage service within the theater environment. Job Requirements

  • proof of age with associates who will be serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages needing to be 18 and in some states 21
  • completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program for team members working with alcohol
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • provides excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication in English
  • ability to work in a team and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction
  • responds with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including maintaining proper cash balance, distributing correct tickets, logging off when away, and reporting any concerns to management
  • verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
