The role of Server - Beer and Wine at Cinemark is a customer-focused position designed to enhance the movie experience through dedicated food and beverage service. Job Requirements

  • Proof of age to serve alcohol (minimum 18 or 21 depending on state)
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any local/state certification or health card
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program for those serving alcohol
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly demeanor during shifts
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math proficiency
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in moderate to high noise level environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service or food and beverage serving is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety practices
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable with standing for extended periods
  • Must be able to follow directions and company policies

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register
  • Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
