Job Requirements
- Proof of age valid for serving alcohol (18 or 21 depending on state)
- Completion of basic food handling training and relevant certification
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude
- Excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to take and follow directions
- Sense of urgency in response to tasks
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to handle moderate to high noise levels
Job Qualifications
- Basic food handling training and local or state mandated certification or health card where required
- Completion of a Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all ages, genders, and personalities
- Responds with a sense of urgency
- Excellent guest service skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and reporting any concerns to a manager
- Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
