The role of Server - Beer and Wine at Cinemark is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of enhancing guests' movie experiences through attentive and knowledgeable service. As a key member of the guest service team, the Server will guide guests in ordering food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, to complement their visit. The Server will engage guests with warmth and professionalism, demonstrating strong menu knowledge and providing timely service. Job Requirements

  • Proof of age for alcohol service (18 or 21 depending on state)
  • Completion of basic food handling training and local/state certification or permit as required
  • Completion of safe alcohol service training
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in team and independently
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Responsive with a sense of urgency
  • Physical ability to frequently bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in noisy environments
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment properly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic food handling training completed
  • Safe alcohol service training completed
  • Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Friendly and energetic attitude
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions on assigned register including proper cash balance and security
  • Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years old for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • Consistently sanitize high-contact areas for employees and guests
  • Properly utilize personal protective equipment
  • Adapt to cleaning tasks as required
  • Monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
