Job Requirements
- Proof of age to serve alcohol (18 or 21 depending on state)
- Completion of basic food handling training and local or state food handlers permit where required
- Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Ability to provide excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Sense of urgency in completing tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach while performing duties
Job Qualifications
- Proof of age to serve, pour, or mix alcoholic beverages as required by state law
- Completion of basic food handling training and any mandated certification or permit
- Successful completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Energetic and friendly attitude
- Excellent guest service skills
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Respond with a sense of urgency
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including cash handling and ticket distribution
- Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
- Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
