Job Requirements
- Proof of age
- Must be 18 years old to serve alcohol, 21 in certain states
- Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification
- Must complete safe alcohol service training
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Excellent guest service skills
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow directions promptly
- Capacity to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must comprehend and converse effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or food and beverage industry is an asset
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills and accurate cash handling abilities
- Ability to understand and comply with local and state alcohol laws
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including cash balance and ticket distribution
- Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitor safety and security issues and report to management
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
