The role being offered is a part-time Server position at Banners Kitchen and Tap in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about creating memorable dining experiences and delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The server is the face of the restaurant, responsible for engaging guests with warmth and professionalism while efficiently managing orders and ensuring guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as walk, which may include walking up stairs, standing, and bending for long periods of time
- Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
- No high school diploma or GED required
Job Duties
- Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver checks to guests
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
- Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
