You will greet customers warmly, introduce them to the menu, explain daily specials, and assist with questions about ingredients and pricing. Accurate order-taking using a POS system and effective communication with kitchen and management staff are essential parts of the job. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced work environment
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Adherence to restaurant policies and dress code

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-3 years' experience as a server is preferred
  • Wine knowledge and cocktail knowledge is preferred but willing to teach
  • POS experience is preferred but willing to teach
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Welcomes customers when they arrive at a restaurant
  • Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials
  • Answers questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
  • Takes customers' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket, entering them into POS
  • Communicates customer's special requests to Expo/MOD
  • Prepares non-alcoholic drinks and serves them to customers
  • Performs side-work including opening, running, and closing tasks
  • Provides team service to support coworkers
  • Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary
  • Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
  • Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
  • Communicates guest requests or complaints
  • Answers, reports, and follows MOD instructions
  • Works in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Maintains a clean work environment
  • Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Arrives on time and in clean, pressed uniform with a positive attitude ready to work
  • Completes tasks assigned by MOD in a timely manner
