The Server Assistant role at Puttshack is critical to delivering an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. This position is a key member of the floor operation team, responsible for facilitating smooth service flow by delivering food and beverages promptly to guests. The Server Assistant ensures tables and mini golf courses are cleaned, sanitized, and reset efficiently to maintain a welcoming and safe atmosphere. This role supports the frontline staff, assisting with food and drink service while anticipating guest needs to exceed expectations. Success in this position requires excellent teamwork, organization, and multitasking capabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, showing a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Puttshack offers a flexible work schedule with typical venue hours from 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week. Candidates should be prepared for variable scheduling, usually between 15 to 30 hours a week, depending on business needs and individual availability. This diversity in scheduling accommodates a variety of lifestyles, emphasizing the company’s commitment to flexibility and employee satisfaction.

The Server Assistant contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by greeting guests warmly, assisting with food and beverage delivery, managing cleanliness and sanitation, and supporting the service team. This role requires adherence to food allergy procedures, safety standards, and company policies, ensuring a consistent and professional operational flow. Compensation for this role includes a base wage plus tips, reflecting the company’s recognition of the important role Server Assistants play in guest satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
  • ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds
  • work in confined, crowded space with high noise levels and various temperature levels

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years of age to apply
  • prior hospitality or food/beverage experience
  • strong level of emotional intelligence and overall self-awareness
  • high standards of guest satisfaction
  • ability to obtain any required licenses and certifications for your location
  • experience safely and effectively transporting food and beverage
  • sense of urgency and ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment

Job Duties

  • Bring your 'A' game each and every day
  • anticipate guests' needs and ensure overall experience exceeds expectations
  • greet guests with a warm welcome and sincere smile
  • assist service team with all food and beverage service
  • deliver food and drinks to guests in the dining room, bar, and golf courses following steps of service
  • clean and transport dirty dishes to tray or dish room
  • quickly and efficiently clean, sanitize, and reset tables
  • stock and maintain supplies at service stations
  • understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions
  • comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • take direction and be a team player
  • follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment
  • other projects or duties as assigned, including side-work, opening, and closing duties
