The company operates a diverse portfolio that includes both water- and land-based experiences, ferry services, and transportation solutions. As an innovator in the industry, Hornblower Group is committed to delivering high-quality and immersive experiences to millions of guests annually. It operates internationally, with its services extending across more than 10 countries and over 50 U.S. cities. The company proudly serves more than 20 million guests every year, making it one of the largest and most respected companies in the experiential and transportation sectors.

Hornblower Group’s operations are divided into multiple divisions to streamline services and enhance guest satisfaction. City Experiences is one of the flagship divisions offering premier dining and sightseeing cruises, as well as walking and food tours under the brands of City Cruises, Walks, and Devour. Meanwhile, City Ferry, part of the Ferry and Transportation Division, stands as the largest private operator of high-speed passenger and vehicle ferries in the United States. Serving over 10 million passengers annually, City Ferry operates critical routes such as NYC Ferry and Puerto Rico Ferry, alongside other regional ferry systems.

The company’s subsidiaries further bolster its capabilities and industry presence. Hornblower Marine manages vessel haul-out and maintenance services at the Bridgeport Boatworks in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Seaward Services, Inc., provides comprehensive shipping, waterfront logistics, and management services specializing in government and commercial vessel operations and maintenance. Another key subsidiary, Anchor Operating System, LLC, offers reservation, ticketing, and website integration services tailored for the transportation, tourism, and entertainment industries.

Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Hornblower Group maintains additional corporate offices in major cities such as San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, London, New York, Dublin, and various locations in Ontario, Canada. The company’s wide global footprint and robust infrastructure enable Hornblower Group to deliver exceptional service and continue expanding its market reach.

The role of Server Assistant at Hornblower Group is integral to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience aboard the vessels. This position focuses on assisting servers by facilitating the prompt delivery and removal of food and beverage items. Additionally, the Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining hospitable and cordial interactions with guests and coworkers, always acting with safety and responsibility on board. Knowledge about the vessel and its surrounding skyline is essential, as this allows the Server Assistant to provide guests with timely and informative answers regarding menu descriptions, the order of service, entertainment options, cruise routes, and points of interest.

Working as a Server Assistant in this dynamic environment offers the opportunity to be part of a team that creates memorable experiences for guests on the water. The role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to assisting both guests and fellow team members. Important tasks include cleaning and organizing dining areas, setting up and breaking down service stations, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and safety of common areas on the vessel.

This hourly, part-time or full-time role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced customer service setting and who take pride in enhancing the guest experience through attentiveness and care. The Server Assistant operates in a collaborative environment where the goal is consistently exceeding guest expectations through seamless service delivery.
