As part of the esteemed Grand Hyatt Washington hotel, Oribu Restaurant promises not only exceptional dining experiences but also a vibrant working environment supported by a globally recognized hospitality brand. The Grand Hyatt Washington has been honored as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For across multiple years, further emphasizing its commitment to employee well-being, career development, and workplace excellence. This opportunity at Oribu includes a server assistant role, which is essential for ensuring guests receive impeccable service. This role is fast-paced and demands strong communication skills, physical stamina to handle moderate weight lifting and movement, and a genuine dedication to providing excellent customer service. The position offers flexible scheduling, with shifts available any day of the week including weekends and holidays, from 9:30 am to midnight. Compensation for this role starts at $17.49 per hour and increases to $19.64 after six months, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding quality work and continued tenure. Beyond competitive pay, candidates will find a wealth of benefits designed to support their well-being and professional growth. Oribu Restaurant, backed by Hyatt’s renowned employee programs, offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to keep employees and their families covered. Employees are also supported with a 401k plan, Retirement Savings Plan (RSP), and basic life insurance for added financial security. Paid time off includes vacation days, sick leave, new child leave, and holidays, as well as paid family bonding time and adoption assistance, underscoring a culture that values work-life balance and family support. Additional perks of working with Oribu include free room nights after just 90 days and discounted room rates available immediately, tuition reimbursement for those pursuing further education, free meals during shifts, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees also enjoy discounts at various retailers and potential for career growth both locally and in Hyatt properties across the country. The Grand Hyatt Washington and Oribu Restaurant are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where every qualified candidate receives equal consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
