Job Description
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, located in Ko Olina, Hawaii, is a luxury hotel and resort that offers guests a unique blend of traditional Hawaiian culture and the magic of Disney. As a part of the global Walt Disney Parks and Resorts family, Aulani showcases immersive storytelling, exceptional guest service, and captivating experiences that celebrate the natural beauty and rich heritage of Hawaii. The resort features multiple dining options that bring this story to life through a blend of themed environments, authentic flavors, and engaging cast member interactions. Aulani’s commitment to excellence ensures that guests experience world-class hospitality, warmth, and aloha spirit throughout their stay.
The role of a Dining Attendant at Aulani is a dynamic and rewarding position that plays a crucial part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. This role involves much more than traditional food running; it requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality and dedicated to exceeding guest expectations. The dining attendant supports servers by delivering food and beverage orders to guests efficiently and accurately, ensuring that presentations meet strict quality standards and that the food is fresh and appealing. The position may also involve role-playing and themed elements that help bring the Aulani story to life, making the interaction with guests memorable and meaningful.
In addition to delivering orders, the dining attendant welcomes guests with genuine warmth and friendliness, enhancing the overall dining atmosphere. They anticipate guest needs, assist with directions, provide event information, and contribute to a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Responsibilities extend to bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness in dining and lounge areas, restocking supplies like linens and silverware, and supporting the overall flow of service in a highly fast-paced environment. The role demands physical stamina, as it includes frequent walking, lifting, and standing in both indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes in inclement weather.
This full-time position requires availability seven days a week, including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, reflecting the resort’s dedication to guest satisfaction at all times. The starting pay rate for the dining attendant role in Hawaii is $18.25 per hour plus gratuities, with select benefits offered depending on the level and position, including medical, financial, and other benefits. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent hospitality skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills, while contributing positively to their team and the guest experience. Prior experience in fine dining or full-service restaurant environments is preferred but not required, and knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language is considered an asset. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone enthusiastic about providing exemplary service, working in an exciting and culturally rich environment, and growing their career within the Disney company and hospitality industry.
