Job Description

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a prominent member of the Marriott International family, is a globally recognized hospitality brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1937. As part of Marriott International's extensive portfolio, Sheraton has established itself as a preferred destination for travelers seeking exceptional experiences and warm, welcoming service. With over 400 locations worldwide, Sheraton is known for creating a sense of belonging and community, providing guests with engaging and thoughtful experiences that foster meaningful connections. The company prides itself on its diverse and inclusive work environment, valuing the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates to drive success and deliver outstanding hospitality.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team in the role of Closing Attendant. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety that are hallmarks of the Sheraton brand. The Closing Attendant is responsible for completing all closing duties within the hotel's food and beverage areas, ensuring that reusable goods are properly stored, equipment is cleaned and returned to its rightful place, refrigerators are securely locked, and areas are restocked and sanitized. Attention to detail is critical as the role involves inspecting china, glassware, and silverware for cleanliness and presentation before use, as well as maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift through continuous clean-as-you-go practices.

The role also requires strict adherence to company policies, including safety and security protocols. The Closing Attendant must promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management and complete all necessary safety training and certifications. This position demands a professional appearance and demeanor, maintaining confidentiality with proprietary information and safeguarding company assets at all times.

Beyond technical and operational tasks, the Closing Attendant plays a key part in guest relations. The role involves welcoming guests according to Sheraton standards and communicating clearly and professionally with both guests and team members. Telephone etiquette and the ability to respond constructively to customer and coworker concerns are essential components of the role. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, and navigating a variety of surfaces including stairs and ramps.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts offers this position as a fantastic entry-level opportunity for individuals eager to begin their careers in hospitality. While no prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. This role is perfectly suited for motivated candidates who value teamwork, quality service, and the chance to grow within a respected global brand. Sheraton embraces equal employment opportunities and is committed to creating a welcoming work environment for all employees, including those with disabilities and veterans.

Joining Sheraton means becoming part of a global community focused on delivering a world-class guest experience. The Closing Attendant position provides a meaningful chance to contribute to this mission by supporting team goals, ensuring operational excellence, and helping to create an inviting and orderly environment for guests and associates alike. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic setting, Sheraton invites you to explore this opportunity and become a valued member of their team.
