Job Description
Gracious Hospitality Management is a recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences through an unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and team development. The company is expanding its prestigious footprint with its ambitious new project, 550 Madison, located inside the iconic Sony building in Midtown Manhattan. This 15,000-square-foot multi-level dining destination represents the pinnacle of Gracious Hospitality's vision to merge fine dining with immersive, transportive experiences that delight guests from start to finish.
Located at 550 Madison Avenue, the project will showcase three distinct and world-class concepts including the second New York location of the Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, the vibrant all-day multi-bar and dining concept called Chimera, and the intimate sushi restaurant Sushi Yoshitake, led by Michelin-starred Chef Masahiro Yoshitake. Designed in collaboration with the celebrated Rockwell Group and sushi concept expert Yoshio Itai, 550 Madison redefines dining in Midtown by marrying culinary excellence, sophisticated design, and a unique ambiance.
As part of the expansion, Gracious Hospitality Management is currently hiring a wide range of dynamic and passionate hospitality professionals to join the award-winning team at 550 Madison. This employment opportunity includes positions across all departments such as prep cooks, polishers, line cooks, porters, receivers, pastry cooks, drink runners, server assistants, servers, food runners, and hosts. The company offers comprehensive on-site training for qualified candidates eager to grow within their roles, ensuring that every team member is fully prepared for the scale and high standards of operation.
The hiring process is meticulously designed with a clear structure: beginning with resume screening and interviews, followed by open call hiring events scheduled for February 2026, then onboarding and extensive training several weeks in advance of the restaurant's opening. New hires can anticipate participating in friends and family service sessions during the pre-opening phase, culminating in a grand opening event that will mark the transition to full daily operations. This thorough approach underlines Gracious Hospitality’s commitment to professional development and upholding an outstanding guest experience from day one.
Beyond operational excellence, Gracious Hospitality Management fosters a culture grounded in core values such as people, learning, cultural respect, sustainable practices, and stewardship. Employees at 550 Madison are expected to embody these principles, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality in an upscale setting. The organization prioritizes equal employment opportunities and supports accommodations for diverse needs, ensuring an inclusive workspace for all team members.
In line with New York State Pay Transparency Law, the position offers a starting wage of $11.35 USD per hour. Additionally, the company provides generous compensation packages and benefits that include medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts; commuter benefits; referral bonuses; career advancement opportunities; employee recognition programs; dining discounts; and paid time off. With this comprehensive support, Gracious Hospitality ensures its team members are valued, motivated, and equipped to excel in their hospitality careers. Joining the 550 Madison team means becoming part of a transformative dining experience in one of New York City's most prestigious locations, with the opportunity to contribute to an exciting and high-profile hospitality venture.
