The role of Server Assistant at Lawn Club offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this vibrant environment. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Server Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. The responsibilities include taking orders, serving beverages, maintaining the cleanliness and ambiance of the dining room, and assisting guests by advising them on menu selections to ensure a satisfying experience. This position requires a blend of excellent communication skills, a personable and positive attitude, and the ability to think quickly and multitask in a fast-paced setting. As part of a team focused on hospitality excellence, the Server Assistant will need to demonstrate expert knowledge of menu items, special offerings, ingredients, preparation techniques, and allergens to confidently inform and guide guests.
This is a seasonal position with the pay starting at a minimum wage of $17 per hour, with tip credits applicable. The Server Assistant will be expected to adhere strictly to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies, maintain proper cash handling and loss prevention standards, and perform assigned side work relevant to guest service. Job Requirements
- ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis)
- ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- 2+ years server experience in a fine dining, high volume setting
- ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Deliver a high-quality food and beverage dining experience to all guests
- interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverage, and process transactions
- maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic and graceful attitude
- recommend menu offerings and provide daily specials when appropriate
- communicate orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices, dietary needs and special requests
- demonstrate expert knowledge of all menu items as well as daily specials
- maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service
- maintain proper loss prevention standards including cash handling procedures, tip handling, cash deposits
- adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- complete all assigned side work relevant to guest interactive service
- consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
- perform other duties and responsibilities as per business need
