The Server Assistant plays a crucial role in our service team by greeting guests warmly, managing seating arrangements using the TMS, and supporting servers throughout the dining experience. The Server Assistant is responsible for monitoring guest flow, communicating wait times clearly and courteously, and assisting with food and beverage delivery when needed. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
- Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state, and local serving regulations
- Ability to process cash handling, credit card, and room charge transactions in compliance with policies and procedures
- Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone, and other office equipment
- Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills
- Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient

Job Duties
- Adhere to proper procedures for utilizing the TMS system to control the flow of guest seating
- Utilize the wait and reservation lists in the TMS system
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment
- Enthusiastically greet guests and assign tables using TMS
- Politely notify guests and manage expectations during wait times
- Inform guests of current features and promotions, answer questions, and offer menu suggestions
- Address guest concerns and inform the manager
- Support and assist team members by delivering food and beverages, pre-bussing tables, and providing refills
- Set up, maintain, and operate the server assistant stand and front lobby area, ensuring cleanliness and order
- Answer the phone and assist guests with inquiries in a friendly, courteous manner
- Deliver correct drinks and food to guests when needed
- Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times
- Bag and manage takeout orders and check for accuracy
- Ensure each guest receives a friendly farewell and solicit feedback about service quality
- Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and unoccupied tables and clean dirty tables as needed
- Accommodate guest needs such as refilling beverages and providing silverware
- Clean and sweep around tables as needed
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
