This role is situated at the St. Regis Bar located at 9703 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, Florida, offering a full-time, non-management position focused on delivering professional, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. The position emphasizes maintaining cleanliness, setting up and clearing tables professionally, and ensuring all service standards are met. Responsibilities include serving water, bread, and coffee; greeting guests by name where possible; stacking trays for efficient bussing; and upholding safety standards throughout service. Closing duties involve proper storage of reusable merchandise, cleaning equipment and areas, restocking items, securing refrigerators, switching off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklists. The role demands continuous maintenance of work areas, inspecting the cleanliness and presentation of porcelain, glass, and silverware before use, and adhering strictly to health and safety standards. Beyond service delivery, the role requires compliance with company security policies, presentation of a smart and professional appearance, protection of proprietary information, and asset safeguarding.

The job also extends to guest interaction where welcoming guests warmly, anticipating their service needs, meeting company standards, and expressing genuine gratitude are vital. Collaboration within the team is encouraged to meet common goals, involving clear and professional communication. The role requires physical stamina such as standing, sitting, walking extended periods, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering on varied surfaces, stairs, and ramps, along with reaching overhead and below the knees to perform tasks effectively. The position embraces reasonable additional duties as directed by supervisors. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required, and no licenses or certifications are necessary.

Job Duties

  • Provide professional, courteous and efficient food and beverage service to all guests
  • Clean and set tables properly including setting bread, water and coffee
  • Greet guests by name whenever possible during service
  • Stack trays efficiently to facilitate fast bussing for servers
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Perform closing duties including storing reusable items, breaking down supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, restocking, locking refrigerators and doors, turning off lights, completing cleaning checklists
  • Maintain and set up work areas, inspect cleanliness and presentation of porcelain, glass and silverware
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the day and comply with health and safety standards
  • Comply with company security policies, maintain professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information
  • Welcome and attend guests according to company standards, anticipate and meet guest service needs, express sincere gratitude
  • Collaborate with team, communicate clearly and professionally
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting for long periods, lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, navigating stairs, ramps and uneven surfaces
