This role is that of a Food Runner, a vital member of the restaurant team who supports servers and enhances diners' overall experience by setting up and clearing tables, maintaining service stations, and assisting with guest needs. It provides opportunities for career growth, with potential advancement from Food Runner to Restaurant Server, and eventually Restaurant Floor Manager. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for preparing tables for guests, ensuring the cleanliness and stock of service stations throughout different meal periods, and beginning guests' dining experiences with beverages, bread, and butter service. Additionally, the Food Runner is tasked with transporting all dirty tableware to the dishwashing area, following all sustainability guidelines under the EarthView program, and practicing safe work habits in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards. The role requires physical endurance, the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Availability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Willingness to follow safety and hygiene protocols
  • Strong work ethic and team player mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHMs EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
