Job Requirements
- Baccalaureate diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to follow instructions

- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work in a high noise environment
Job Qualifications
- Baccalaureate diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers or employees
- Basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing numbers and using American money and measurements
- Ability to apply common sense in following written or oral instructions
- Ability to handle some problem solving involving specific variables in standardized situations
Job Duties
- Assists servers with transporting dishes and service trays to and from the kitchen and dining room
- Complete all assigned opening and closing side work to prepare the dining room, kitchen and gas stations for efficient operation during meal periods
- Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant including kitchen, bar, lobby, break rooms and grounds
- Cleans tables and chairs with sanitation spray and towel
- Collaborate with waiters to ensure tables are cleaned, sanitized and ready for the next meeting
- Organizes and prepares tables for scheduled meetings
- Serve chips, salsa and ice water to customers
- Keep the bar fully stocked with supplies such as chips, salsa and drinks
- Keep the ice cube container full throughout the day
- Assist the server, bartender and customers as needed throughout the meal period
- Monitor tables and alert servers if guests need refills or additional items
- Lift and carry garbage from the restaurant to appropriate disposal areas
- Adhere to all restaurant rules and procedures, focusing on health and safety
- Clean and polish service bar doors and equipment like coffee urns, iced tea dispensers and soda machines
- Report any problems or discrepancies to management immediately
- Communicate with host/hostess and manager when tables have been cleared
- Apply knowledge of the full menu and other restaurant information
- Maintain understanding of hours, number of tables, sections and types of payments
