We are currently seeking a Server Assistant to join our dynamic restaurant team. This vital role involves greeting guests with a friendly welcome and ensuring a smooth flow of seating using our Table Management System (TMS). The Server Assistant works closely with the entire service team to enhance guest satisfaction from arrival through departure. Responsibilities include managing wait and reservation lists, communicating effectively with guests about wait times or promotions, and assisting servers by delivering food and beverages, refilling drinks, and pre-bussing tables. The role also includes handling takeout orders, maintaining cleanliness in the dining and lobby areas, and providing responsive guest service throughout their visit.
This position is suited for individuals who are personable, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Working as a Server Assistant requires standing or walking for extended periods, physical stamina to handle various tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure. We offer opportunities to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the busy nature of the hospitality industry. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Adhere to proper procedures for utilizing the TMS system to control the flow of guest seating
- utilize the wait and reservation lists in the TMS system
- maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment
- enthusiastically greet guests and assign to tables using TMS
- politely notify guests and manage expectations if there is a wait
- inform guests of current features and promotions, answer questions and offer menu suggestions
- address guest concerns and inform manager
- support and assist team members by delivering food and beverages, pre-bussing, and providing refills when possible
- set up, maintain, and operate the server assistant stand and front lobby area ensuring a clean and orderly area
- answer the phone and assist with answering guests' questions in a friendly, courteous manner
- deliver the correct drinks and food to guests when needed
- practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times
- bag and manage takeout orders, check order for accuracy
- ensure each guest receives a friendly farewell and solicit feedback about the quality of service
- observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and unoccupied tables
- clean dirty tables as needed
- accommodate guests' needs and requests such as refilling beverages and providing silverware
- clean and sweep around tables as needed
- other responsibilities as assigned
