The available Server Assistant role is a dynamic opportunity to join Hornblower Group’s hospitality team, playing an essential part in delivering exceptional guest experiences on board. This position involves assisting servers with the timely delivery and removal of food and beverage items, ensuring high standards of hospitality and safety on vessels, and providing guests with valuable information about the vessel and surrounding skyline to enhance their overall experience. The Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness of service areas, setting up and breaking down dining spaces, and supporting guest seating and greeting procedures. Candidates will enjoy engaging directly with guests, contributing to a seamless dining and sightseeing cruise experience, all while working in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment. The role requires a hospitable and courteous attitude, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Job Duties
- Provide exceptional hospitality to guests
- Clean up used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests' tables to galley
- Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to the galley for cleaning
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations
- Set up and break down dining room and service stations as prescribed
- Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route and points of interest
- Assist with the warm and efficient greeting and seating of guests when they arrive
- Additional job duties as assigned
