With a strong commitment to innovation and security, the company supports a diverse range of business functions that require high availability and optimal performance from their server environments. The work culture promotes collaboration, technical expertise, and continuous improvement. Their Unix Operations team, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and stability of systems, exemplifies this ethos. This position is a full-time role with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring onsite presence three days a week, allowing for both team collaboration and autonomous focus time. The position mandates U.S. citizenship due to clearance requirements, reflecting the sensitive nature of the infrastructure and its applications within secure or regulated environments.
The Server Analyst role itself is designed for a technically proficient professional who will be pivotal in supporting enterprise server operations. This includes maintaining system availability, ensuring security compliance, optimizing performance, and managing operational stability across multiple platforms, with a specific emphasis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. The analyst will serve as a bridge between the technical infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, enabling a comprehensive approach to server management. Primary responsibilities include operational monitoring, detailed analysis of server workloads and performance metrics, and the provision of technical support through the lifecycle of infrastructure development and maintenance processes. The analyst will also be instrumental in driving automation initiatives using tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash and Perl to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Additionally, the role demands active participation in incident response and problem management, reinforcing the resilience of server environments. Security is paramount; hence, the analyst will manage server security controls, backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and address vulnerabilities ensuring adherence to audit and compliance standards within timelines. Beyond technical tasks, the Server Analyst is expected to contribute to knowledge management by developing documentation and operational procedures, as well as mentoring and training relevant teams. This role provides a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for IT professionals who thrive in fast-paced, multi-platform enterprise environments and are committed to excellence in enterprise infrastructure support and security.
