We are currently seeking dedicated Guest Service Experts to join our renowned food and beverage team, contributing to the distinguished dining experiences that The Ritz-Carlton is celebrated for worldwide. This full-time, non-management position located at 900 SW Washington St, Portland, involves working primarily day shifts with an expectation of weekend availability. Candidates with backgrounds in luxury, fine dining, or hotel environments will find this role particularly rewarding as it builds on those experiences to deliver top-tier service.
The Guest Service Expert role transcends typical dining service responsibilities; it is about crafting memorable moments that guests will cherish long after their visit, beyond just food and beverage offerings. You will take initiative in providing a broad range of service elements that collectively enhance the overall guest experience. Responsibilities include setting tables with precision, collaborating attentively with kitchen staff, engaging warmly with guests during service, and ensuring that workspaces and storage areas remain clean and organized. Your ability to seamlessly integrate these tasks into a coherent and pleasant guest experience is central to your success in this role.
Physical stamina and agility are important, as the job involves standing for extended periods, navigating uneven or inclined surfaces, and performing tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds. Your attention to detail in reading and confirming menu information, along with executing a variety of physical movements including reaching, bending, twisting, and crouching, helps maintain the high standards expected at The Ritz-Carlton.
We emphasize the importance of a professional appearance and the ability to communicate effectively, which reflects our commitment to maintaining an atmosphere of elegance and refinement.
