The role of Server at Arrow Senior Living is a full-time position with a competitive starting wage of $15 per hour. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that residents receive exceptional dining experiences in a welcoming, comfortable setting. The Server at Barrymore is responsible for creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages residents to connect and enjoy their meals, reflecting the company’s core values in every interaction. The shift schedule runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, providing a consistent and balanced workweek.

As a Server, you will take on multiple responsibilities that go beyond traditional dining service. You will be the "Host with the Most," greeting residents warmly and engaging with them to foster a sense of community. The "Peppy Prepper" aspect of the role involves preparing tables, salads, and rolling silverware to ensure smooth meal service. In addition, as a "Titan of Tidiness," you will maintain cleanliness by bussing tables and sweeping floors to uphold the community’s pride and hygiene standards. A critical component of the role is acting as an "Appetite Anthropologist," where you communicate with supervisors and wellness staff about any dietary concerns or changes in resident appetite, contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in your care.

This position requires an energetic and positive attitude, the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout your shift, and the strength to lift or move items up to 50 pounds. You must be capable of assisting residents with mobility and after falls as part of providing attentive and respectful care. Additionally, compliance with criminal background clearance is mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an 8th grade proficiency or higher

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day

  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
  • Must be criminally cleared

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining room
  • Engage with residents by mingling, entertaining, and fostering connections
