The establishment prides itself on being a gathering place for friends and family to come together, relax, enjoy exquisite meals, and share laughter and good times. The company's mission emphasizes serving delicious and memorable hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for during their visit. The Post holds a reputation for being a respectful and inviting restaurant home for both its guests and employees, fostering an environment where people thrive through kindness, dedication, and teamwork.
The Server position at The Post is fundamental to creating the fun and familial guest experience that the restaurant is known for. The role requires a deep understanding of southern-style hospitality and a broad knowledge of food and beverage offerings, particularly in the realms of food service and craft beer. Servers at The Post must be detail-oriented and proficient in the proper steps of service and etiquette, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as servers interact closely with patrons in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. The ideal candidate is selfless, personable, adaptable, and capable of staying calm under pressure, all while maintaining enthusiasm and passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.
This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, requiring availability primarily during nights and weekends, which are the busiest periods. Compensation is competitive, with hourly wages ranging from $22 to $26 per hour plus tips, and opportunities to earn more based on performance and experience. The Post values professional growth, offering training and development programs to enhance skills, including certifications such as TIPS and Responsible Alcohol Service, with training provided to candidates when needed. The role also welcomes candidates who possess or aspire to a Cicerone Certification, which would be considered an asset due to the restaurant's focus on quality beer service.
Beyond the immediate role, The Post and Big Red F provide a supportive workplace culture that embraces diversity and equality, emphasizing that the character and ability of individuals matter above all else. The organization offers various employee benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees after six months, paid sick time, flexible scheduling options to accommodate personal needs, employee discounts at Big Red F Restaurant locations, and wellness resources to support team members' overall health and well-being. The collective environment ensures that every team member is part of a legacy of passionate, hardworking, and dedicated individuals who contribute to the ongoing success and acclaim of the restaurants within Big Red F.
