Newcastle Place is currently offering an exciting opportunity for dedicated and passionate Culinary Servers to join their team on an hourly basis, with pay ranging between $15.00 and $19.53 per hour.

The role of a Culinary Server at Lifespace is pivotal in delivering top-notch dining experiences that enhance the daily lives of residents. Culinary Servers greet residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they enter the dining area. They are responsible for accurately taking orders and efficiently entering selections into a point-of-sale system, facilitating smooth service flow. This position entails serving meals and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of professionalism and hospitality. Culinary Servers also assist with room service orders, expediting delivery, and retrieving trays promptly after dining, which helps maintain the cleanliness and order of the dining environment. They play a key role in setting tables, clearing them efficiently, stocking pantry items, and ensuring thorough cleaning of culinary venues, ultimately supporting the seamless operation of the dining service.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic mathematics

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
  • Accurately take resident and guest orders, entering menu selections into a point-of-sale or similar tracking electronic system
  • Serve meals and beverages in a prompt and professional manner
  • Fill room service menu orders and expedite delivery and ensure all room service trays are retrieved at conclusion of dining time
  • Clear tables during and after residents and guests have concluded dining
  • Arrange table settings appropriately and efficiently
  • Stock pantry areas with adequate supplies, complete assigned side jobs and perform thorough cleaning of the culinary venues
