Job Description
Mambo Seafood is an iconic and high-volume restaurant brand that has proudly served the Greater Houston area since 1996. Established as a local favorite, Mambo Seafood has expanded to operate 12 restaurants throughout Houston, one location in San Antonio, and a franchised operation in the Rio Grande Valley. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and fresh seafood offerings, Mambo Seafood has become synonymous with quality dining experiences in Texas. The company is poised for rapid growth, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and community engagement. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Mambo Seafood fosters a culture of professionalism, energy, and hospitality, ensuring that each guest leaves with a memorable experience that reflects the company’s motto, "Panza Llena, Corazon Contento®" (Full Belly, Happy Heart).
The Server role at Mambo Seafood is a dynamic and essential position within the restaurant. This full-time or part-time opportunity requires a professional individual with high energy and excellent communication skills who can represent the brand with enthusiasm and care. In this role, the Server will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and drink service while engaging with customers about the menu, daily specials, and limited-time offers. Precision and attentiveness are crucial as the Server accurately takes orders, processes payments, and maintains a positive dining environment. Additionally, the Server plays a significant role in upholding health and safety standards, including adherence to alcohol service policies and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
Working at Mambo Seafood means being part of a team that values customer satisfaction and teamwork. Servers are empowered to solve guest issues amicably and efficiently, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. The role demands physical stamina, as employees stand and walk for prolonged periods and handle moderately strenuous activities such as carrying trays and lifting weights up to 25 pounds. Familiarity with point of sale systems and basic computer skills are advantageous and can support the Server in smooth transaction handling. Mambo Seafood is committed to providing ongoing training and development, enabling employees to grow their skills and advance within the company.
This position offers competitive pay, flexible hours, and a professional work environment where employees are recognized and valued. Benefits such as health insurance, dental coverage, employee perks, meal discounts, and a comprehensive training program make this an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the restaurant industry and exceptional customer service. Candidates who are team players, customer-service oriented, and possess necessary certifications such as the Food Handler Certificate and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification are highly encouraged to apply. Although Spanish language skills are a plus, they are not mandatory. Mambo Seafood is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace that respects and celebrates diversity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds without discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
