We are currently seeking a motivated and caring Server to join our team and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our senior residents. In this role, you will be an integral part of creating a warm and engaging dining atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include providing attentive service during meal times, ensuring all dietary needs and preferences of residents are met, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in dining areas. This position requires strong interpersonal skills as you will interact with residents, their families, and fellow staff to foster a welcoming environment. The schedule for this role is primarily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering a consistent routine conducive to work-life balance.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in food service preferred
  • Current ServSafe Certification required
  • Ability to obtain/hold any local, state, or county food handling/sanitation licenses as required
  • Must be 18 years or older, pass health screenings, TB clearance, fingerprinting, and background checks
  • First Aid certification required
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents' dining preferences and dietary needs are met
  • Circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment
  • Follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards
  • Assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment
  • Report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
