The Server position at NEXDINE Hospitality in Overland Park, KS, offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team committed to delivering best-in-class dining experiences. This role is essential in fostering a hospitable and welcoming environment by engaging with residents and guests to provide attentive and exemplary service. The Server, also known as the Guest Experience Ambassador, reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and is responsible for ensuring all food and beverage services meet the highest standards. Scheduled shifts range from 7:00am to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with work hours varying from part-time (12 hours) up to full-time (40 hours) weekly. The position offers competitive hourly pay starting at $17.00, with an additional $2.50 shift differential for weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Duties
- Cascade a spirit of hospitality in all dealings with residents, colleagues and guests
- Lead service of food or beverages to residents and prepares or serve specialty diets and dishes as required
- Engage with residents to obtain desired orders for food or beverages while articulating the daily menu offerings
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
- Ensure residents are satisfied with all aspects of service and communicate with direct supervisor on any customer service issues
- Check residents diets, likes and dislikes to ensure that requirements are satisfied
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of all scheduled meal periods
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens as needed
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping floors, tidying service stations, clearing tables and taking out trash
- May wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment
- May assist in supporting culinary staff at numerous stations as directed
- Provide excellent customer service including being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
