Our hiring establishment is a senior living community dedicated to providing an elevated lifestyle for seniors, where comfort, connection, and joy thrive. We are currently looking to hire a full-time server to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Culinary. The work schedule includes shifts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with the requirement to work at least one weekend day. As a server in this senior living community, you will play a vital role in the dining experience by preparing the front of the house for meals, taking food and drink orders, and performing dining room closing duties. Your interaction with residents is much more than transactional; it is about offering companionship and a friendly presence during their mealtime. Your positive attitude and excellent customer service skills will enhance the residents' dining experiences and support the community's mission to deliver an elevated way of life.
The role requires thorough knowledge of the menu, the ability to make suggestions to residents, and ensuring tables are enjoying their meals by proactively addressing any concerns. You will also assist food preparation staff when necessary and participate in ongoing training programs through the designated Learning Management System to maintain current knowledge and skills. Job Duties

- take food and drink orders from residents and guests accurately and with a positive attitude
- write resident or guest food orders on order slips
- engage with residents in a friendly manner
- have knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions
- ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- perform end of shift duties in dining and kitchen
- assist food preparation staff when necessary
- attend training courses at community and maintain up to date training through designated Learning Management System
- perform other duties as assigned related to the success of the community and care of residents
